Serving those who pursue knowledge.

My academic career began in a liberal arts college where I did not have the opportunity to supervise graduate students. Fortunately, I was recruited to sit on committees and eventually made an adjunct faculty member at a research institution where I was able to work with graduate students in Art, Architecture, Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, English and Drama. A few years ago, I accepted a position in the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) at the University of Calgary which has a graduate program (MFA) and later joined the Computational Media Design (CMD) group, which offers MSc and PhD degrees. Working with graduate students is one of the most rewarding areas of scholarly life and I am grateful to see my work in the area expanding. Now, as the director of a graduate-only program, my role allows me to increase my commitment to graduate education and to those who commit their lives to scholarly inquiry.
